Cabo de la Vela is ideal for combining beach, landscapes, and relaxed plans. Here are the activities you cannot miss, whether on a tour or by motorcycle from the village:
Visit Pilón de Azúcar: Climb this hill and enjoy one of the best views of Cabo. Below, you will find a perfect beach for swimming.

Playa Arcoíris: A spot where the waves crash against the rocks, creating an interesting visual effect.

Playa Ojo de Agua: A tranquil beach with crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and relaxing.

Sunset at the Lighthouse: One of the best places to watch the sunset over the sea.

Cabo Beach: The main beach, with calm waters, perfect for relaxing.

Bring enough water and some snacks, as the weather is hot and the options in the village are limited.
Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The sun is strong all day.
Organize your transport well, especially the 4x4 trucks from Uribia, so you don’t miss your return. We recommend going with plenty of time, as the vehicles do not have a set schedule.
Respect Wayúu culture and, if possible, support by buying local handicrafts.
If you stay overnight, it's worth experiencing a stay in a ranchería to learn more about their traditions and culture.
What is the best time to visit Cabo de la Vela?
