Palomino is located between Santa Marta and Riohacha, in La Guajira. Its proximity to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta allows you to enjoy both beach and mountains in the same trip. The nearest airport is Santa Marta (approximately 1.5–2 hours by road).
Practical options from Santa Marta:
Bus (terminal): Take the bus to Palomino or those heading to Riohacha, buy a ticket to Palomino, and tell the driver to drop you off there. The journey takes between 1 to 2 hours and the price is approximately $25,000 COP.
Bus (Public Market): An alternative from downtown Santa Marta. Head to the Public Market and take the bus to Palomino, the trip lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and the approximate price is $15,000 COP.
