Los Viajes de Jham
The Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino was the last home of Simón Bolívar and preserves key moments from Colombia's independence. It is an ideal destination for cultural and heritage tourism in Santa Marta. In this travel guide, we will tell you how to get there, what to do, and what not to miss during your visit.

Founded on February 2, 1608, by the religious figure Francisco de Godoy, the estate was named La Florida San Pedro Alejandrino. Over the years, it belonged to several notable families and developed into a producer of sugarcane for panela, rum, and honey.

The Quinta is located on the outskirts of Santa Marta, along Avenida del Libertador in the Mamatoco area.

Simple and economical options to get there from downtown Santa Marta:
Bus: Take a bus heading to Mamatoco and ask the driver to drop you off at Quinta de San Pedro. Ask locals for the nearest street it passes. Approximate price: $2,950 COP.
Taxi: More comfortable and direct. Minimum fare from downtown: around $12,000 COP, depending on the distance.

Prices vary depending on age and nationality. Indicative rates:
0–5 years: FREE
6–12 years: $22,000 COP
Nationals (13+): $24,000 COP
Foreigners (13+): $30,000 COP
Seniors over 65 (Nationals): $22,000 COP
Seniors over 65 (Foreigners): $28,000 COP
Active and retired military: Exempt
*Military personnel must present ID and identification at the ticket office for exemption.
