The Laguna de Guatavita is located in the municipality of Guatavita, Cundinamarca, about 75 km northeast of Bogotá. The town of Guatavita is the last stop before the lagoon and a good place to prepare for the hike.
The most common starting point is Bogotá. Here are the main options and approximate prices.
